Applying for an Award
Having implemented the Seven Elements of the Eco-Schools programme you can apply for an Award. There are three levels – Bronze, Silver and Green Flag.

The seven elements section contains details of the criteria used to judge what level of Award your school could apply for.

Applying for a Bronze or Silver Award
The Bronze and Silver Awards are based on school self-assessment and can be applied for through the Eco-Schools website www.ecoschoolsscotland.org or by post to the Stirling office. Successful schools will receive Bronze and Silver certificates by post.

Schools should work through Bronze and Silver levels before applying for a Green Flag. These Awards are a useful way of encouraging your school to aim for its first Green Flag. However, if you feel your school meets the criteria for a higher level Award then you should contact our office for further advice.

Applying for a Green Flag
Full guidelines on how to apply for a Green Flag Award can be found on the Eco-Schools Scotland website.
