Biodiversity

Biodiversity (biological diversity) matters to us all.  Biodiversity is a key part of the life support system on ‘Spaceship Earth’ – supporting our needs and local economies.  Schools can play a crucial role promoting and improving the biological potential of their local area.  The outcomes will help shape the attitudes and capacity of young people in caring for our biodiversity in the future.  Everyone can benefit from being involved – through enjoyment, learning, health and good citizenship.  This section looks at some of the ways schools can make a difference, in however small a way, but essentially as a long term commitment.
